Alumni Dog Beuker - CIS leading scorer signs with German pro team
After a four-year career with the Huskies, Beuker is looking forward to heading across the waters. "I wanted to pursue hockey [after school]... it'll be a different hockey adventure," said Beuker, who departs for Germany Sunday morning. "It's a great opportunity for travel and to see Europe. Troy [Walkington, Huskies assistant coach] helped a lot with making sure it was a good place and a stable team. It's going to be different... it'll just be hockey for a living, and not school and playing hockey. And not to have all my friends and family around... that will be the hardest part. There will be an adjustment period."
Beuker had a hugely successful career with the Huskies, completing 2005-06 tied for the CIS lead with a career-high 47 points in 27 conference games, while picking up only seven penalties and spending a grand total of 30 minutes in the box. For that, he was presented the R.W. Pugh Award for Most Sportsmanlike Player in the CIS. The 25-year-old was also named to the first all-Canadian team, marking his fourth selection in as many years as a CIS national all-star. Beuker was the CIS rookie of the year in 2002-03, and was crowned CIS scoring champion a year ago with 46 points.

Alumni Get Your Own Jersey!!!
Alumni,
I've been in the process as of late in getting together some alumni jerseys. Thought I would put out some basic info for the guys at this point in the whole process. Anyways, the jerseys would be purchased individually by hockey alumni with the intent that for most guys who are playing on Saturday mornings, these would be the new jerseys that we would use. With that in mind we would have for sale a dark green and black jersey and an opposite white jersey also. The jerseys would mimic the existing dogs 3rd jersey with a number of modifications. We would go with a little lighter jersey rather than the thick pro jersey. The traditional skating dog with HUSKIES underneath would replace the U of S/dog face on the front of the jersey, shoulder pacthes would be the U of S/dog face and we would also go with embroidered numbers. Last names on the jerseys would be the double colour style and each alumni can request any number they prefer.
Socks will be included also. Price per jersey is expected to be approximately $125.00 once everything is factored in. I will be at the morning skate this Saturday to have guys fill out personal information and to do some sizing for the jerseys.
For any of the guys who are out of town or who cant make it to Rutherford they can email me at csbmoroz@yahoo.ca to get more info and perhaps set up an order.
